Wildflowers found on this hike

Dusk

We went on this hike towards the end of the wildflower season, which turns out to be a great time to go. Between the parking lot and the edge of the canyon we found sunflowers and coneflowers and yellow daisies. The path then switchbacks down to Cherry Creek at the bottom of the canyon. There we found a wide variety of small, bright wildflowers in the grasses and brush along the stream. Unfortunately, we had left the hike until rather late in the day, and the daylight was blocked by the canyon walls and all my photos were unusable. Oh, well, maybe next year.
