Tree growing in rock

This is a short loop hike that starts from the rim of the canyon, goes down to and follows Cherry Creek to the ruins of the old dam, and back up to the parking lot. We frequently hike this trail after Labor Day, when the snows have started falling in the foothills. A wide variety of fall flowers are blooming and some interesting seed pods can be seen. This tail get up close to the creek, where my daughter loves to get close up shots of the water going over the rocks.
